Book Hunting!

Rate this post

Always a trip to the bookstore brings home so many exciting new books. This time I bought the books,

A Writer’s Book of Days by Judy Reeves

Lost & Found by Jacqueline Sheehan

Chosen by a Horse by Susan Richards

The Hounds and the Fury by Rita Mae Brown

Morning Comes Softly by Debbie Macomber

The book covers seem to sparkle, the pages are crisp and have that new book smell and the words call from within that they want to be read. Uncovering the story line by line, page by page is exciting and fulfilliing.

Reading a book is like taking a trip only within a book, but you don’t know the route you will take. Maybe, that’s the fun of reading being able to escape into another place, another world different than your own and have someone else lead the way.

Books can also provide friendship with the characters; after I had finished reading 13 books by Janette Oke of the Love Comes Softly series a time span of over 70 years and three generations I felt like they were my family. It’s these kind of books that I find are my favorite, the series books where you can connect with the characters and really get to know them with each new adventure.

What are your favorite books?

  1. Rebecca – I love Janette Oke! I met her once at a book signing and she is soooo sweet! I haven’t read all of the books but most of them anyway. I’m excited about Love’s Unfolding Dream coming out today because I know that I’ll be curled up in front of the tube with some popcorn cheering Belinda on!

Thank you for the list, Summer reading is right around the corner and that’s when I catch up 🙂

    Great blog BTW!
