About Have Stress Relief Now
Have Stress Relief Now is a free online membership site created in 2009 by author and freelance writer, Tinisha Johnson, who resides in Colorado with her family. It started as a blog, and has turned into a full launched website as of 2011.
After a failed marriage and two small kids, Tinisha thought it best to take a new route in her life; one that involved various ways to manage stress on different levels. Stumbling upon the following three books: Unstoppable Women by Cynthia Kersey, The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, and Do You! by Russell Simmons, these books literally changed her life, and from that change, Have Stress Relief Now website was created.

Welcome to Paperback Writer.
Thank you for having me on your blog Rebecca.
Q: Would you share with us how you came up with the idea for your (site) or what turning point led you to create this site?
Well, I’m really into self-help and doing things to better my life in all areas. I love to help others, and wanted to create a site doing just that, but with sharing quality information like articles, services and products.
I came up with the idea for the site in 2009, but never really pursued it any further than some blog posts. The site itself was created in early April 2011. My turning point to actually go ahead and create the site, was just my drive to believe in myself. My intention with the site is really to change lives, and provide services and articles to help others searching for ideas or positive messages. I want to build a community, where people can come together and read or and share ideas. It’s all about information to me. Getting your hands on the right information can really be a turning point in a person’s life. It was for me, and therefore “Have Stress Relief Now” website was created.
Q: Was it a light bulb moment or something that you thought about for a very long time?
It’s been something I’ve contemplated for awhile, but there was a light bulb moment the day I decided to buy the domain for my website and build it. I was actually very stressed out the day I did it. I know, how ironic since my site is all about how to relief stress. I wasn’t having the greatest day, and later that night I was supposed to go out on a date, who stood me up. I knew I had to make a decision. The idea had been growing in my mind for some time, and I knew it was time. It had been time. That night, I began gathering up all my old blog posts and journal entries and worked all night on getting the website up and running. I was on a mission.
Q: How did you come up with the title for the site?
Well, I knew right off that I wanted the words “relief stress” in the title. By playing with a couple of words, I added the words “Have” and “Now.”
“Have Stress Relief Now,” is all about having control over your life and how you respond to situations and people. The “Have” part became very important to me, because a lot of times people feel like they don’t HAVE a choice in what happens to them, but they do. I’ve often times feel like I don’t have a choice, but I have to quickly remind myself, I have a choice. You HAVE a choice. It’s always our choice to take control. We can’t control others, that’s just a fact, that I’ve learned time and time again. But even if we don’t know what to do in certain situations, we can ask, we can google, we can research, we can learn, we can talk about it, we can seek help, we can do SOMETHING.
The “Now” part is even more important, because when you’re in pain or really stressed out, you want it to go away NOW, not tomorrow. I truly believe my website content tackles some important problems people have straight on and provides solutions.
Everything my site is about is how to relieve stress in all areas of a person’s life, personal and professional.
Q: What is your hope for the site?
I want to build a community of people who are interested in taking their lives to a new level, while sharing ideas. I’m still learning myself. Some articles I write, I even learn a thing or two. I do research on the content I add to my site, and some of the content I’ve used and experienced personally.
Below are both my Mission and Vision for the website “Have Stress Relief Now”
To provide a high level of awareness through means of vital information, that engages a person’s mind and relieves negative stress in all areas of life.
We help people find the answers to the tough questions in life, and we do it through powerful information that changes lives and aids growth.

Q: Will you be writing any more books, If yes, can you give us a snippet of what it might be about and will it be another self-help book?
Yes, I definitely plan on writing more books. I’m currently in the process of republishing a contemporary romance ebook, entitled “Unexpected.” It’s available for download on my personal website: www.tinishanicolejohnson.com. And I’m working on a psychological thriller screenplay. It’s pretty much finished, just pitching the idea to some production companies and working on a second screenplay, and another novel I’m collaborating with another author.
Q: How did you get started as an author?
I published my first short story in 2004 with Chicken Soup for the Soul. It was an inspirational piece that dealt with being a single mom. I published my first book through a small publisher in 2007. It was a mystery entitled “Searchable Whereabouts.” As of the posting of this, I have five books published, and several short-stories, and poems in print. I was also invited to Chicago in February 2010 on the WGN Midday News to be interviewed to discuss my self-help book Lessons Learned.
Q: What is your favorite book that you could read over and over again?
I have many. I love to read. However, I find myself constantly re-reading two self-help books entitled Unstoppable Woman by Cynthia Kersey and Do You! by Russell Simmons.
Thank you, Tinisha for stopping by Paperback Writer. I wish you continued success with your tour.
It’s been a pleasure Rebecca.
